Volunteering
with The McKinney Avenue Transit Authority provides a unique opportunity to give
back to your community, and have fun at the same time.
Volunteers are active in all areas of M-Line operations, including Restoration,
Trolley car Motormen (and Women) and Conductors as well as Overhead line work.
There are also important opportunities in the areas of Newsletter production,
Historical research and preservation, Maintenance, Administration, and serving
on various Planning and Board Committees. Another way to get involved is to help
with Special Events such as our recent 20th Anniversary Celebration. Becoming
a part of the M-Line family helps to keep this Dallas Institution rolling along.
Whether you enjoy tinkering
with antique machinery, woodworking, meeting people, operating a 100 year old

trolley service to the Dallas community as well as preserve and restore the historic
equipment we operate. Additionally, you will receive our quarterly newsletter
delivered to your home so you can keep up with current events here at MATA. Besides
the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to preserve a part of America's
transit history, you get various premiums (shown on the application) depending
on your level of membership. Members are important, silent partners in the best
little trolley line in Texas. Click
